Revealed: Lily Allen’s Chanel handbag campaign

We told you Lily Allen was the perfect choice for Chanel's new handbag advertising campaign. Now here's the proof. The singer, who must be an expert in how to swing Chanel arm candy from her shoulder, given her extensive collection, poses perfectly with the new quilted bag from Chanel's new ‘Coco Cocoon' line. 'Those quilted duffel bags might look massive, but they're the comfiest bags in the world to carry because of the material. They're amazing,' Lily told Graziadaily.co.uk yesterday as she posed for yet another campaign shoot – this time for her own jewellery line. Judging by how beautiful she looks in these images Lily's becoming quite the expert at fashion shoots. Mind you, this one was shot by Karl Lagerfeld – a man you can trust to make you look fabulous. The luxury sportswear bags don't hit the shelves of Chanel until October but something tells us with Lily's endorsement they'll be an instant sell-out. And that the singer will be seen toting one on the streets of London some time very soon...

  • Not bad... better than I thought it would be. And probably the most relaxed Chanel campaign I have ever seen!

  • SassyJ - the images went all corrupted so we had to delete and repost. In doing so a couple of original comments disappeared. Sorry! Please repost!

  • Lily does look fabulously stylish and very Audrey hepburn esk, with a little sex kitten thrown in for added tease!!however, it still oozes the classy, sophistication we associate with chanel plus a little bit of spark to spruce it up and keep it upto date! nicely done guys!!

  • Lily looks beautiful, as do the bag's.

  • Pleeeaaase-there is NOTHING Audrey Hepburn about this. If anything it looks like Jordan doing Hepburn and miserably failing, especially with the tiara.

  • Love it. Lily's just doing what she does best, having fun and keeping things edgy.
I adore the new Chanel bags, the styling of the quilted one is soooo gorgeous.
    I think Lily looks beautiful.

  • NONONO! Lily is not chanel. This is just so cheap and nasty. Its like the high street were inspired to do a 'chanelesque' collection. Coco will be turning in her grave. smh.

  • if lily hadn't lost so much weight karl lagerfield wouldn't be the least bit interested in using her in an ad...but as lily seems intent on making herself as skinny as she possibly can...i suppose she'd take that as some kind of compliment...being in demand for being thin.....

  • I like Lily Allen but not for Chanel. I know its meant to make the label seem more accessible but for me it just cheapens them. Please Chanel don't go down the Burberry route of the 90's.
Also the photos look more like a high street campaign rather then a top fashion house. I expected more to be honest.

  • Ha ha I thought I'd been deleted for saying something along the lines of werq's comment above!! I don't like Lily Allen as it is, and I think she's totally wrong for Chanel. I also think it's sad that the Chanel brand is being so commercialised. It's already getting ubiquitous (Exhibit A: the two 'birds' pictured with Jack Tweed falling out of some nightclub recently both sporting 2.55s) and will be sad if it ends up as a label people prefer to avoid and has to fight it's way back to being cool (Exhibit B: Burberry).

  • I just don't get why a label such as Chanel would sign Lily Allen. I do like her and she does dress very well sometimes but this is Chanel. CHANEL! It's about glamour, class, sophistication, elegance.... All things that Lily clearly isn't it. Now when she worked with New Look I could understand the appeal but for me Chanel & Lily do not go together in the slightest and the pictures above prove it.
