EXCLUSIVE: first look at Lily Cole’s latest acting role

The gods of celluloid must be smiling on us because – from Bruno's camp Austrian fashion reporter to Coco Before Chanel and the fascinating American Vogue documentary The September Issue – 2009 is the year of the fashion film. And guess what? Yet another film based in the fashion industry is set to be released this autumn, and we have the exclusive first look at the trailer.

Although there's a bit of glamour (after all, it features our favourite new MTA – model-turned-actress, obv – Lily Cole, who is set to have a glittering acting career judging by her star turn in Heath Ledger's final film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus), this one is different to anything you've seen before. It comes from one of Britain's finest directors, Sally Potter, and centres on a murder investigation as told by a blogger working at a New York fashion house. He interviews the characters on his mobile phone one by one, so each actor talks directly to the screen, which feels oddly spooky and intimate. As well as lovely Lily, the cast includes Steve Buscemi, Eddie Izzard, Judi Dench and Jude Law in drag. It's not released until 24th September, but here's the exclusive first look of the trailer. We know you like to be ahead of the curve, after all! Visit www.ragethemovie.co.uk for more info.
