Word on the front row at Christian Lacroix's couture show in Paris a fortnight ago was that it would be his last. Fashion editors even gave the legendary designer a standing ovation. But it seems there's now another chance for the 22-year-old fashion house to save itself, after filing for bankruptcy earlier this year. Bernard Krief Consultants have come forward with a bid to save the ailing couture house on the grounds that it forms ‘part of France's cultural heritage', with the investment firm said to be tabling their offer on 27 July.
