The house of Versace isn't exactly known for its subtlety when it comes to fashion, but that's precisely why we love it. So it's good to know that Donatella Versace - the Style and Image Director of the Versace group - is thrilled to be part of the upcoming Autumn Winter season's Eighties revival. Harking back to the ‘daring', ‘excess' and ‘in-your-face' characteristics of the decade that brought us big shoulders and lamé fabrics, Donatella talks New York Magazine's Fashion Director Harriet Mays Powell through some of her key pieces from the collection. Our favourite part? The designer has teamed up with the Whitney Museum of American Art to promote art among children, and two of her favourite designs will be turned into real-life runway bags for September. Genius.
