Peaches Geldof is new Biba muse

Peaches Geldof

Regardless of how you might feel about her, Peaches Geldof continues to create waves in fashion. If she's not front row at shows or modelling in her smalls, she's writing about it in her column or posing in her latest style choices for the paps. Clearly none of it has gone unnoticed by cult fashion house Biba, who have chosen Peaches as the 2009 muse of the brand. They were the label credited with bringing high end and high street fashion together, and we know that Miss Geldof loves to mix her price points and labels. 'Biba is where the foundations of the liberated woman's choice of clothing were laid,' Peaches said. ‘It's a seminal label and one that is referenced time and time again with modern trends.' We are yet to discover what her role as ‘muse' will actually entail, but for a start Peaches was filmed getting the ‘Biba Look' from make-up artist Daniel Sandler, on the website promoting new film Beyond Biba: A Portrait of Barbara Hulanicki, which premieres this week. Hmm, if a make-up artist comes with the job, we might have to turn our hands to 'musing' too.

  • She's already been the 'spokesperson' for Oli, then she moved on to 'Very'! Is there any fashion retailer she isn't representing??? Coupled with the fact that half the population can't stand her (me included), leaves me asking the question 'why' anyone wants to have anything to do with her?

  • There must be "Something About Peaches" but for the life of me I cannot think what!! Only the fashion set find her adorable - the general public cannot stand her - she is an annoying bimbo and should be twinned with Paris Hilton (another annoying bimbo). Grrrrrrr :(

  • Well I'm thinking that her public persona must be so different to what she is like in private with all these designers falling over themselves to sign her.
But to be honest even though I can't stand the little tyke, kudos to her for getting all these jobs.

  • Smacks of desperation to me. The fact is we can't get enough of Peaches if only to slate her. It seems that brands like to hook up with Peaches as she guarantees them publicity, so she does have a purpose. She's the new Victoria Beckham!
