Quintessentially English brand Smythson is beloved by many a fashionista for its leather bound notebooks, diaries and handbags. So imagine how thrilled we were to learn that they'd called on designer Erdem Moralioglu's signature watercolour prints, to create a capsule line of stationery for their autumn/winter collection. Smythson's classic notebooks will be covered in the floral prints and abstract hues that so define Erdem, as well as illustrations from his A/W 2009 collection: It is ‘about Japonism, but a kind of Japonism décontracté,' said Moralioglu of his inspiration. ‘It was before a trip I took to Japan so I was kind of channelling something of what I dreamed it would be like.' The pieces will go on sale from November.
