Styling tips of the week!

15 July 2009

Grazia's shopping editor Sophie Ferguson Jones is back for another week with some super-easy and oh-so-chic styling tips. Because although we all love the buzz of shopping, we also know there's nothing better than updating some old clothes that have been hanging around in your wardrobe for ages...

1. Dig out your boyfriend's shirt and go oversized à la Chloë Sevigny, Rihanna or Agyness Deyn. Just remember to pair with a bare leg or skinny bottom half to balance out the proportions.

2. Buy some fluoro or brightly coloured washing machine dye (http://www.dylon.co.uk/ is our top tip) to give your old cotton whites another lease of life. It works particularly well on porous lace, so attack that underwear drawer, or try it out first on this T-shirt from New Look for just £4. Just be careful to do an empty wash after....

3. Cute cotton plimsolls will see you through the summer. Go '50s with a prom, preppy with shorts or 2009-style with a tube dress, and try Office, Lacoste or Converse for some of our favourite styles.
