It's true that us fashion folk like to speak in our own language. We're all ‘signature pieces', ‘trophy jackets' and ‘shoots' (shooboots if you please). Now some might say that it's all nonsense, but the very proper Collins English Dictionary disagrees. In fact in the latest edition of the dictionary includes entries for ‘treggings' (trouser leggings) – which Grazia must take responsibility for – ‘flannies' (yuk – flannel shirts apparently), ‘body-con' (we're sure you understand that), and ‘frugalista' (like recessionista really, but one that no-one uses). Now we'll be the first to admit that sometimes we get carried away with ourselves and our language, but there's nothing like creating a word that sounds...well, right. And now that Collins agrees with us, there might be no stopping us. Accept our apologies in advance.
