Another name has been added to the much-boosted roster at London Fashion Week: design duo Clements Ribeiro. The husband and wife team of Inacio Ribeiro and Suzanne Clements - famous for their luxury cashmere, prints and relaxed chic pieces - last showed on the LFW catwalk in September 2005. This September they will be part of the new ‘presentation schedule', a more intimate extension of the traditional catwalk show running alongside the main action on the Somerset House courtyard. Their Fashion Week comeback is hot on the heels of Clements Ribeiro's limited edition projects, which the designers launched last year and was an instant sell-out on Net-a-Porter, Liberty and Dover Street Market. ‘The Projects were a warm up to getting back to ready-to-wear, and this collection has been built around graphic fabrics and knits', says Ribeiro. ‘When developing the collection we thought of strong individual pieces, using innovative craft that sat outside of trends. We believe there is a strong demand out there for craftsmanship and quality products which are unique, desirable and that have timeless appeal.' The designers have also announced they are re-launching their highly acclaimed shoe line. Burberry, Jonathan Saunders, Matthew Williamson and Pringle are all returning to the capital.
