Roksanda Ilincic for Whistles

Jane Shepherdson's revamp of Whistles is coming on apace and her latest project  - a collaboration with Roksanda Ilincic - has had us overexcited with anticipation since we heard about it a few weeks back.  This morning the waiting was over; we were lucky enough to be among the select few to get a sneak preview of Serbian born, London based Roksanda's line of cocktail dresses.  The collection of seven perfectly formed and divinely feminine frocks was shown at an intimate presentation breakfast at new hot London restaurant Bob Bob Ricard (we LOVED the toasters on the tables - so you can make you own).  Instead of a catwalk, the models wove their way through the dining room.  The dresses were recognisably "Roksanda" with slinky draping and dramatic detailing (in the form of high shine black flowers or structural bows) a plenty.  This LBD festooned with patent anemones is our pick of the collection, other highlights included a raspberry wrap around dress with a sheer panel and an exquisitely cut one shoulder number with an over size bow detail.  The dresses hit stores in early September and will range in price from £175 - £300, but with only 400 pieces available in total be prepared to camp out get your hands on one of them!
