It's Cheryl. And Dannii. Standing side by side on stage underneath The X Factor lights. Forget that fashion analysis of their outfits on the steps as they're leaving the auditions: this is like it's really beginning. And the fashion lives up to the expectations. So let's assess.
Pros: A nod to the tribal trend with the embellished neckline of that Matthew Williamson dress and that raffia Burberry ‘looks like it's thrown on but actually very carefully planned' bracelet. Oh, and you've managed to pick two of the most-buzzed designers of the moment, who are both returning to LFW. It's OK, Cheryl, we get it. You know your fashwan...
Cons: We've said it before and we'll say it again. The hair. We'd really like to see something at least a little different soon? And though your tan does look rather fabulous, no need to show it off quite so, ahem, overtly. If nothing else, it's making us jealous.
Pros: Love that shag-like bob. Great TV-appropriate dress from Nicola Finetti. And where CAN we get that necklace, Dannii? Never mind that full-on smile and buffed up skin. (UPDATE: The answer is Kara Ross!)
Cons: Tie-dye. It might be back in for festival season. But not like this. Millions of people around the UK don't need to see it on a Saturday night. You never know what sort of fashion copy-catting that might spark.
