Maria Sharapova: fashion can help me win Wimbledon!

No wonder Wimbledon Centre Court is looking more and more like a catwalk... According to Maria Sharapova, fashion can improve her chances of winning the tournament. Yes, really. ‘I don't think being an athlete affects my personal style, but being interested in fashion can make me a better tennis player. When I feel good on the court, it improves my game.' That's why she has her own design team at Nike who create six pinnacle outfits a year for her, four of which she saves to unveil at the grand slams. Because you have to make an entrance, after all. As for her day-time slob wear? A plain tank, classic blazer and a pair of, er, Rick Owens trousers. Well, as a former world number one and three time Grand Slam winner, she can probably afford it...
