Spare a thought then for her Australian namesake Katie Perry, a clothing designer from Queensland who designs luxury loungewear, and whose bid to trademark her brand name is being opposed by the singer's lawyers. But it doesn't end there, because Katie's also received a letter asking her to stop trading. 'It asked me to give up the trademark, withdraw sale of my clothes, withdraw any advertising and any websites, and sign that I will not in the future use a similar trademark to Katy Perry,' she said.
