Styling tips of the week...

10 June 2009

We're halfway through a horrid week of grey skies and London tube strikes, so we persuaded Grazia's shopping editor – and resident office styling guru – Sophie Ferguson Jones to share a few tips to cheer us up. Enjoy!

1. Fold and cuff tailored trousers to achieve one of the season's hottest trouser shapes: 'the crop'. They'll work perfectly with the ever-changing weather, and are a great piece for your trans-seasonal wardrobe. Acne trousers, £137 at

2. Get waisted! Add a belt to any dress and go ’50s, accentuating and even creating curves. Just beware of any frock with horizontal seams, and steer clear of empire lines or drop-waist dresses. Love Label floral dress, £49, Littlewoods.

3. Visit your local haberdashery and update your last seasons jacket or cardie with an assortment of colourful and bejewelled mis-matched buttons.
