Cheryl vs Danni fash-off

And they're off! X Factor auditions have people singing, wailing and err, rapping up and down the length of Britain, and while we can't wait to see who will be the next Alexandra Burke or...Leon Jackson (yes he was a winner a couple of years ago, but he slunk off somewhere)...for us it's about Cheryl and Danni. Rather it's about Cheryl and Danni's wardrobe (and hair) battle. Over the next few weeks and well into the live shows, we shall be on C&D watch and checking out who is winning in the style stacks.
 
So let's start with day 1 - in Glasgow.
 
Cheryl Cole
Pros: She is resplendent and fashion-forward in an Alexander McQueen top, Alexander Wang leather trousers and Rupert Sanderson shoes. She knows to keep accessories to a minimum too with just a bracelet and ring. We can't judge on the bag unfortunately as clearly Cheryl is now  too much of an  A -lister  to carry one herself.
 
Cons: The hair. We know, We know, EVERYONE loves that big healthy bouncy hair, but it is just so, well, BIG. Too waggy we think. It always looks so much better tied up, plus we can see more of that pretty little face of hers.
 
Danni Minogue
Pros: Now, we can see what you're trying to do Danni. It's kinda like rock-chick meets big sister, but it's just a bit much. BUT, we do like the simplicity of the black tux jacket, and we love sequins for day. Oh and patriotic points for Danni who always wears Australian designers on the X Factor.
 
Cons: What happened to the hair?! Please tell us this is just an ill-advised styling moment? We were loving the slick bob, brush it in immediately! The jersey dress, from an Australian boutique, is nice enough, but it would be better with a simple black court stiletto, rather than ankle boots.
 
Winner of Round 1....Cheryl Cole. But something tell us there'll be many more rounds to come...
