Fashion’s A-list kick off summer in London

It's regarded as the social event that kicks off the summer season of partying in London, so no surprise fashion's heavy-hitters came out for an evening of art at last night's Royal Academy of Art's Summer Exhibition Preview Party. Making a welcome return to town, Agyness Deyn wowed on the blue carpet wearing her best London pals clothes - a Giles Deacon mini-dress and House of Holland jacket - twisting and turning to show off the ‘punk Marilyn' style hair do she'd requested to funk up her outfit. But as the supermodel tucked in to the canapés hungrily, we spotted Beth Ditto chatting fashion with Stella McCartney and waxing lyrical about the wonders of Spanx knickers! Her band The Gossip got the fashion crowd - including Alexa Chung who'd also flown in from New York, Erin O'Connor, Yasmin and Amber Le Bon and Jaime Winstone in that Matthew Williamson dress - dancing with a brief performance. All except Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who was busy regaling friends about how she'd been working far too hard in recent months and was longing to get back to Ibizia with her boyfriend, Tyrone Wood.
