Kanye West’s fashion week faux-pas
He was the king of the front row, but even after attending more shows than anyone else last season, it seems Kanye didn't quite get key fashion week etiquette. Like not irritating the designer whose show you're watching... Pink has revealed that while sitting next to the PETA Senior VP Dan Matthews at the Stella McCartney FROW in Paris, Kanye made some not exactly sensitive remarks, considering Stella's commitment to animal rights. ‘He just wouldn't shut up about how he loved fur,' she said. ‘I mean, he's saying this to me, the PETA guy and Paul McCartney! I was just so grossed out by him. I'm like, ”You're an idiot!”' Uh oh... Something tells us Mr West won't be getting an invite back next season. [PopSugar]

fashionrat - I agree, fur in fashion is just disgusting... theres no need for it, especially seeing as you can get fake fur. I thought Kanye was really cool - now im not so sure.

splash - Get over the fur thing. We're humans and have been wearing fur for thousands of years, if you source it properly (as I'm sure the designers putting on shows at fashion weeks around the world do) then it is no more cruel than farming animals for their meat, and unless you are a hardcore vegan, you are being entirely hypocritical condeming fur. Fake fur and other fabrics made using plastics are damaging to the environment and generally a poor imitation of the natural fibres they are trying to mimic.
neondamsel - God just when I thought Kanye could not get any more annoying.... Fur is a completely unnecessary waste of life. Now that we have other materials there is no need to live in the dark ages any more. People who try to condone fur are just plain sadistic.
Killing animals to live is another matter; we are omnivorous- it is what we are meant to do. Wearing fur on the other hand.. People, we are supposed to be naked!

Why don't you watch some videos of animals being skinned alive for the pelts and then come back and say you are OK with it.
The reason that fur is far worse then meat/leather for some is the method they use to kill the animals.
And by the way I am a vegetarian.
