9am news: Anna Wintour drops Rihanna, plus Peaches Geldof turns author

01 June 2009

Looks like it's a bad start to the week for Rihanna. Despite being one of the best dressed gals around at the moment, it sure ain't good enough for US Vogue after nude photographs of her and ex-flame Chris Brown appeared all over the internet. Editrix Anna Wintour had apparently promised the star a cover and inside spread, but hasn't ‘returned any of her calls' since the pictures surfaced. Whoops. [Perez Hilton]

Meanwhile, Beyoncé's world domination continues as she tours the globe in Thierry Mugler and the odd bit of Balmain. But it turns out she's actually just like the rest of us when it comes to those impressive six-inchers: 'When I come home and take my shoes off, I'm like, "Oh my God! I wish I could just chop my feet off!" But while I'm dancing, I'm thinking of the choreography.' That's dedication to the cause right there... [Digital Spy]

Peaches Geldof has added yet another string to that rather impressive bow of hers by turning her hand to writing. Yep, that's right. On her Twitter post yesterday, the multi-talented 20-year-old revealed that she's ‘been working on a collection of short stories for a while now'. We reckon they'll probably centre around a girl called Pears who writes her own column. Or something. [Twitter]

And finally, model Lily Cole's back in the headlines after her Cannes debut. She set tongues a'wagging over the weekend after being spotted with a ring on her engagement finger while taking a walk with current beau Enrique Murciano. Not that we noticed – don't you know it's rude to take men with biceps like that off the market Lily? [Daily Mail]
