As if Cannes wasn't glamorous enough, the festival closed with another film about Coco Chanel – a woman whose name is synonymous with glorious fashion – starring stunning Chanel muse, Anna Mouglalis. The movie, Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky, is this year's second biopic about the iconic designer. According to our secret squirrels in the screening room, it's even more visually breathtaking than the first - Coco Avant Chanel, the Audrey Tautou biopic which reaches our screens on July 31. We also hear that Mouglalis plays Coco's ‘haughty chic' to perfection, and her performance is charming critics the world over. Not that she was short of fans before Cannes: Karl Lagerfeld advised on costumes for the film, and – as our exclusive sketch shows – volunteered to personally design Mouglalis's green goddess red carpet outfit, taking inspiration from screen siren Ava Gardner (who he thinks Mouglalis looks like). Which is exactly the kind of royal treatment you can expect if you've been a Chanel muse for eight years. Sigh, we'll just have to wait for the film's release later this year, and dream.
