9AM News: Rachel Bilson's Chanel collection stolen, plus DSquared on Cannes fashion...

Rachel Bilson

Whilst we totally get why burglars targeted Rachel Bilson's house – hello! one of the most stylish girls in Hollywood – it's so not on stealing her entire Chanel collection. Isn't that like the worst thing that can happen to a girl? Poor Rach is said to be devastated by losing scores of red carpet dresses and vintage 2.55 bags inherited from her grandmother. [The Sun]

Our thoughts also go to Giorgio Armani this morning. The designer is currently recovering from a case of hepatitis. Though he'll need ‘some time' to get better, it's not affecting Mr Armani's plans to show his men's signature and Emporio collections in Milan next month and his Privé couture line in Paris in July. Our style director's only just got the sand out of her shoes, but the campaign shots for the Chanel Cruise 2010 collection shown on the beach in Venice last week are already out. And Karen Elson looks smoking... [Modelinia]

We love the DSquared twins' take on Cannes fashion: ‘It's like New Year's Eve every day. There's nowhere else where you see people decked out at 2pm. Last year we were here with Natasha Poly and she lost her luggage and every night she was out in a different couture outfit, with diamonds all over. You don't need luggage.' Jealous, us? [WWD]

We get that you want to look your best in the House of Commons but should MPs really be able to claim for £100 hair straighteners, eyeliner and lip liner? We think not. [The Telegraph]
