So far we've seen Tilda Swinton working one of the hottest colours of the season, Peaches Geldof delving into the Dolce & Gabbana archives and Penélope Cruz looking dreamy in Marchesa. But it was Dita Von Teese's gown last night that really made us stand up and take notice. Made by up-and-coming couture designer Alexis Mabille it's obviously gorgeous. But it's also the exact same dress Keira Knightley wore on the red carpet way back last November – the one that caused such a storm Alexis still has an entire cuttings book dedicated to it. So how did such a red carpet repeat happen? We spoke to the designer in question. ‘Like with any woman I can't tell you how she came to chose the dress. It's an emotional coup de coeur maybe. She simply loved that dress! She saw it in my collection and ordered it straight away, alongside another – the bow patineuse pink one,' Alexis told us. ‘I love her work as an artist. The colour of the dress is so nice with her beautiful porcelain skin and the style is perfect on her sexy silhouette.' Well it certainly looks like Dita's got a fashion crush on the couture designer. She tweeted about how genius her other Alexis Mabille Cannes dress is because it's got a zip-up pocket near her décolletage to keep her lipstick easily accessible but hidden from view!
