Festivals go designer!

Festivals. They're all about relaxing, becoming your less groomed alter ego and drinking beer that you wouldn't usually be within a five metre radius of. Your Kirkwoods are left at home neatly tissue wrapped in a box and the wellies, holey jeans and bandanas are free to reign. Right? Wrong. Looks like the upcoming festival season is becoming as high fashion as Couture Week in Paris. Or at least that style is upping sticks and moving into a tent for the summer. Vivienne Westwood will make an appearance at Latitude festival in July to read her manifesto ‘Active Resistance to Propaganda'. No doubt she'll look fabulous and we'll all be turning up wearing a bit of Viv to impress her. In addition, fashion royalty Luella Bartley and Barbara Hulanicki have top secret plans for Cornwall's literary festival Port Eliot (Daisy Lowe et al are fans) and we're hoping they'll be on hand to help us make walking boots sexy. So there's absolutely no chance of looking like a scruff bag at this summer's festivals – sunshine or no sunshine!
