Marc Jacobs might have wanted girls at the Met Ball to go for short dresses for a more clubby effect. Anna Wintour might have agreed and sent the missive around the fashion world. But sounds like there's one person who didn't agree with the new dress code: Valentino. ‘I think now all the girls look very ugly,' the legendary designer says shaking his head, muttering ‘no, no, no' and wiggling his finger like a schoolmaster. ‘I saw the pictures of the Metropolitan gala evening in New York last week and I never saw something more ugly, all the girls have their legs out with the most terrible proportions.'
