Phew, not only do we feel that the summer is finally in sight, but after this week it seems that people are out of their grim weather slump, and are back on the party scene. Thank God. This week we've had Mickey Mouse in east London, Peaches Geldof channelling Barbarella in that jumpsuit, Beth Ditto appearing at three parties in one night (tights gaining more holes as the evening rolled on) and the kick off of Cannes. But we know that if we're busy, you're probably busy too, and might have missed some stories on Graziadaily.co.uk this week. Now we can't be having that, can we? So let's give you some of the highlights of the week that was...
Best party – Hogan
It was a close party battle this week between Brix's Mickey party at Start (points for making sure her dog wore ears too), and the Best Buddies party at Hogan. But there has to be a winner and Hogan got it by a whisker (apologies to the Mouse). We expect her to rock our fashion world all of next week, so watch this space.
Story of the week
Well it seems the Lady GaGa backlash has begun. You all like a bit of a bonkers fashion hero, but the GaGa's recent hat on Ellen DeGeneres was a step too far, prompting the comment – ‘it kind of reminds me of the Ugly Betty strapped-to-the-head braces I had to wear when I was 13...'
Tweet of the week
Grazia's style director, Paula Reed, has been in Venice this week as a guest of Chanel. Never of-duty, Paula has been twittering for us throughout her trip, from her arrival, through dinner with Karl, to sitting up front at the Chanel show at the Lido.
'At dinner with karl Lagerfeld. He has his glasses off. What does it mean?'
