How Anna Wintour ‘always gets her way’…

29 April 2009

OK, so it may not come as a surprise that the inimitable Anna Wintour isn't afraid to make her opinions known. But RJ Cutler, the director of forthcoming docu-film The September Issue slated for release later this year, has now revealed exactly how she does it. In a behind-the-scenes chat about the making of the film – the concept for which was incidentally proposed by the US Vogue editor-in-chief herself – Cutler explains, ‘Anna communicates exactly as much as she needs to – silences, glances, gestures... and she always gets her way. She's the master of that'. Yikes. Is it just us or does this make it sound like the Voguettes have the art of telepathy down to a tee? The director then goes on to say that although the razor-bobbed one is a 'closed gal' when it comes to work, talking about her family is what really gets her to open up. So maybe she isn't such an ice queen after all... [Making Of via BlackBook]
