Fashion’s rich lose their millions

He's just cracked America with his Topshop New York launch and he has Kate Moss hanging off his arm practically every night, but it seems even Sir Philip Green isn't immune to the credit crunch. The king of the high street lost £500 million according to The Sunday Times Rich List published this weekend, meaning he's slid to 6th place overall. But before you start to feel too sorry for him, Uncle Phil's still got a rather tidy £3.8 million stashed away for a rainy day – bringing him in at number one on fashion's top 20 rich list. And he's in good company. Sir Paul and Lady Smith make a fashionably rich couple with £230m in the bank while Jaeger boss Harold Tillman racks up £295m. Making her first appearance too is Natalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-Porter and now The Outnet, who appears on the 100 richest women in Britain, with a £53m fortune. No wonder she always looks so chic...
