But before you start to feel too sorry for him, Uncle Phil's still got a rather tidy £3.8 million stashed away for a rainy day – bringing him in at number one on fashion's top 20 rich list. And he's in good company. Sir Paul and Lady Smith make a fashionably rich couple with £230m in the bank while Jaeger boss Harold Tillman racks up £295m. Making her first appearance too is Natalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-Porter and now The Outnet, who appears on the 100 richest women in Britain, with a £53m fortune.
