If you ever manage to drag yourself away from the sunshine and head to the shops, may we suggest you take a detour to Banana Republic? As some of you lucky Grazia readers will already know from our champagne-fuelled VIP shopping evening there this week, BR has just launched the new Heritage for women collection. It's a capsule collection of sophisticated soft silhouettes and tailored pieces, a brilliant mix of summer wardrobe staples and on-trend items that can worn from day to evening, with the addition of some killer heels (in store now at £95). But what really separates the Heritage collection from the rest of the store, and indeed the High Street, is that 90% of it uses sustainable fabrics and trims, such as organic cotton, soy silk and bamboo. So what are our favourite pieces? The tailored jackets are great for work, while the embroidered cotton tunic dresses are ideal as beach cover-ups. We're smitten with the entire 45-piece collection, but our favourites have to be the gorgeous silk safari-style crop trousers, £59.50, and the sexy V-neck knit dress with balloon sleeves, £55 – perfect with tailored trousers by day and gladiator sandals for evening. Plus don't miss the resin bangles, which are fabulous for giving your wrists an instant '09 update (£23 for the set).
