We've been trying to single-handedly spread the turban trend across the UK since Miuccia Prada sent her models down the catwalk wearing silk versions almost three years ago. You won't be surprised to hear it hasn't happened. Yet. But now we have an ally in Kate Moss. Today's whispers are that the supermodel has been working with legendary milliner Stephen Jones to create a special turban for her outfit at the fashion event of the year – the annual Costume Institute Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art on 4 May. No word on what dress Kate will be wearing – remember she wore Stella McCartney last year – but apparently she's also got her eye on Shaun Leane's White Light brooch, made with more than 2,477 diamonds. Hmmmm... something tells us bejewelled turbans will be hitting the high street very soon. [Modelinia]
