Prada brings the party vibe to South Korea

24 April 2009

You can always rely on Prada to pull out all the stops. We've been in Seoul this week to witness the launch of one of the most ambitious architecture projects – The Transformer, a 180-tonne structure covered in white cocoon, which can be lifted and rotated in an hour to create a different shape and interior. And on Thursday night it was time to party. Miuccia Prada had gathered artists, architects and fashion journalists alike to munch on sushi while tapping their feet to the soundtrack provided by ex-Pulp DJ Steve Mackey. At night The Transformer really came to life, with lights bouncing off the interior and shadows of the guests projected on to the outside, and the Korean press went mad for Wolverine star Daniel Henney. When Mrs P finally emerged (in head-to-toe Prada of course), she looked stunning in our favourite beaded, black gladiator-style dress from the A/W collection. Oh, and here's a piece of fashion trivia for you – Kate Moss's favourite London haunt the Double Club was originally called the Prada Congo Club, but Miuccia's people decided against it after the trouble erupted in the African republic.
