As if we didn't love Marc Jacobs enough for finally bringing his Marc by Marc Jacobs store (with goodies from as little as £1) to London, here's another reason. His nonchalant and no-nonsense approach to business. When Robert Duffy, Marc's business partner, spotted a ‘very beautiful, very cool' girl peeking through the windows of the as-yet-unopened boutique to see what clothes she'd soon be snapping up, he ran outside and asked if she would consider leaving her part-time job for one inside the store. Once she's been assured staff received a discount, she accepted. Sensible girl, we say. [Independent]
