Drew Barrymore dazzles in Alberta Ferretti

It's one of the most anticipated fashion films of 2009, so no surprises Drew Barrymore dressed the part for the Grey Gardens premiere in New York last night. Wearing a custom-made Alberta Ferretti nude dress teamed with 1930s-style fur stole, net fascinator and finger-waved hair, we can't help but think Drew is channelling her character, Little Edie, in her most glamorous era. The film tells the heartbreaking true story of Little Edie Beale (Jacqueline Kennedy's cousin), and her mother, Big Edie, both faded beauties, living out the last of their days together in a dilapidated house in the Hamptons. But, most importantly, the fashion is bound to be as brilliant as Drew's old-school glamour red-carpet ensemble. Because Little Edie, with her head wraps, brooches and upside-down skirts and safety pins, became something of a fashion muse, even influencing Marc Jacobs' S/S '08 collection. Unfortunately, Grey Gardens doesn't have a release date in the UK yet, but while we set up a petition, here's a sneak preview of the trailer...
