Audrey Tautou's Chanel red-carpet chic

Something tells us Coco Chanel would have been proud of Audrey Tautou's red carpet performance last night at the world premiere of Coco Avant Chanel, as the actress wowed the crowd in a dress from the Chanel Couture S/S '09 collection. Well, she was hardly going to wear anything else now, was she? In true French chic style, though, Audrey made the dress her own - throwing a Chanel biker jacket almost nonchalantly over it to give the look an edge and adding some Sergio Rossi shoes. She'd worked with her stylist Chloe Lesueur, who dressed her for the Da Vinci Code film, on the outfit. Audrey told us on the red carpet she was honoured to be involved with Chanel and had so much fun filming the movie. (More in next week's issue of Grazia.) We're not surprised. We saw a sneak preview screening of the movie – which hits screens here later this year – yesterday, and it certainly lives up to the hype. It's as chic and elegant as Audrey herself – and has one amazing scene where the story of the Chanel LBD is revealed. Fashion heaven!
