Sorry to make you jealous but we've just left an exclusive screening of the new Coco Avant Chanel movie in Paris! Yes, the film in which Audrey Tautou tells the story of Coco Chanel - a designer who changed the way women dressed forever. The film we've spent months practically begging on our hands and knees for a sneak preview of. So we're happy to report that the already much-hyped movie definitely lives up to expectations. Our favourite moment had to be when Coco - realising she had nothing to wear dancing - ordered a local dressmaker to make her a dress: plain, black, without a corset. The dressmaker was horrified but Coco outshone the frou-frou pastel-clad ladies of the time, et voila, the Chanel LBD was born! Anyway, you'll have to wait until later this year to see the film on UK screens but to whet your appetite the film's official world premiere is tonight on the Champs-Elysees (where else?!). And we're hot footing it over to the red carpet soon to prepare to meet the very special Audrey. We can't wait to have a chat about the costumes, find out about Karl Lagerfeld's input and ask how it felt to step in to the super-chic shoes of an icon. Nor can we wait to see the actress's outfit. Sure, we expect to see some Chanel, but will it be classic or modern? Vintage or Lagerfeld? Check out our live Twitter from the red carpet tonight for all the action live, a full fashion break down right here tomorrow morning and next week's Grazia for even more. Well this is the most fashionable film of 2009!
