Julia Roitfeld: ‘Mum always told me to wear heels’

It can't be easy being the daughter of Carine Roitfeld. Not only is she one of the most influential women in the world, but as editor-in-chief of French Vogue her sense of style is pared-down Parisian chic personified. And now Carine's equally stylish daughter has spoken out about growing up with the queen of the fash pack. Newly appointed member of the Pop magazine editorial board, Julia Restoin Roitfeld explains that as a 15-year-old, ‘Mum would force me to do internships at different magazines on holiday,' and, ‘She told me always to wear heels. If I'm not wearing heels, she says, "What? You're in flats?" So whenever I see her, I make sure I have heels with me.' Yikes, no pressure then... [The Cut]
