At fashion shows, the fashion pack will fight for FROW seats. Even if they don't have one. Some will beg for the privilege, pulling out every story they have ever written about the designer to show their loyalty. Others will wait for the lights to go down and quickly leap forward three rows to an empty seat, praying that Kanye West isn't going to make a last-minute appearance. While some people (and they know who they are) will head straight for the front row and act like they deserve to be there, even while stuffing their second-row ticket in their bag. But with Giles Deacon's latest comments, they might prefer to stand in the shadows, or watch from their computers at home.
‘Despite often ridiculously grand titles, most of the front row are ignorant,' the designer told The Telegraph. ‘They can't tell a print from a jacquard. What can anyone learn from what they have to say?'
Well if that doesn't have the fash pack pulling out their history of fashion books, we don't know what will.
