Clemens en August in town for three days only!

01 April 2009

You may not have heard of cult fashion label Clemens en August, but trust us when we say that this is one name you'll want to commit to memory. Launched in 2005 by Alexander Brenninkmeijer, the crisp tailoring and luxurious pared down basics that represent the brand have won over some seriously hardcore fans, including Lily Cole, Claudia Schiffer and Sam Taylor Wood. And get this: James McAvoy even chose to wear the line to the Oscars last year.

What keeps Clemens en August so under the fashion radar, though, is that unlike any other brand they have no stores or stockists, instead choosing to showcase their collections each season across 11 international capitals as part of a ‘world tour'. Although it does mean that you have to wait for the brand to come to a city near you, it means that prices are kept low because they have no overheads.

Yes, you've guessed it, from tomorrow, Thursday 2nd, until Saturday 4 April they're right here in London. Based in the 20th Century Theatre, 291 Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill, the collection will be available to buy between 11am and 8pm, and there's even a tailor on site if your purchases need any tweaking. Phew. We'll race you there!
