Kate Moss debuts her new Topshop collection

23 March 2009

We were wondering what it would take for Kate Moss to ditch that YSL tux jacket after she wore it three nights on the trot last week. And turns out she had good reason to switch to her silver sequin cardi and vest top ensemble, because they're from her very own summer collection for Topshop. The range hasn't even been showcased publicly yet, but business-savvy Kate probably remembers what happened last time she previewed her collection – a stampede for that panther-print dress she wore on the front row at Vivienne Westwood last year. So it's hardly surprising to find it's not the first time Kate's worn her own Topshop new-season samples either; last month, she pulled a grey suede laser-cut minidress off the rails (going in store next week!) to wear to support best friend Sadie Frost for the opening night of her new play after a meeting ran late. Sadly, last week's pieces aren't due in store until mid-May, but sounds like we'll be lucky if there's anything left for us common folk to buy by then at all, since apparently Kate‘s already taken all her favourite samples and put pretty much every single style of Topshop own-brand jeans on her shopping list. Not that she has enough clothes already or anything...
