We've been dying to see the Bruno movie ever since Sacha Baron Cohen stormed the catwalks in Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks last season, causing havoc and hilarity. We even pressed his wife Isla Fisher for details when she came to London last month. She said it was ‘hilarious' (unsurprisingly). But it looks like she wasn't just being kind. Critics saw 20 minutes of edited footage yesterday in Texas and, although no video clips have leaked on to the net, yet (where are the pirates when you need them, eh?), Twitter was alive with plot spoilers just moments later. The lead plot line? Bruno and his boyfriend Diesel head to the Middle East to try to make peace, before swinging by Africa to adopt a baby boy they then parade around the fashion capitals. This leads to the brilliant/macabre (delete as appropriate) scene where Bruno talks to showbiz mums about their their-year-old kids. Bruno asks how much one woman's daughter weighs. He gets an answer ... about 30 pounds. 'I'm not looking for the Scarlett Johansson type, I'm looking for the Nicole Ritchie type... can your daughter lose 10 pounds in seven days?' 'We can try. I think she can do it.' Would you consider liposuction? 'If she can't lose the weight in seven days, we'd consider that as a last resort.' Oh dear! No word yet on how the Fashion Week coverage – including this, ahem, interview with poor Gisele (above) – fits in but it's bound to be genius. Until then, here's a reminder of Bruno crashing the catwalk to tide you over... [NY Magazine]
