Ooh la la! Pop in to Vintage Academe's Pop-Up Salon

Feeling inspired by the latest Chanel, Balmain and Dior extravaganzas on the Paris catwalks? Us too. But we're also having a Forever fashion moment. Which is timely because Vintage Academe, the luxury vintage website has opened its Pop-up Salon for a long weekend at London's boutique hotel 22 Jermyn Street Hotel (22 Jermyn Street, SW1) from 12-6pm today until (and including) Sunday. Forever fashion is all about investment dressing and what could be more investment than a vintage YSL cocktail dress? On offer is a mind-spinning array of buy-now-wear-forever fashion from the past 100 years. You get to browse through rails of carefully curated beyond-fashion pieces (absolutely no tat here) while getting a friendly history lesson into the bargain - e.g. who knew that Ossie Clark did Le Smoking before YSL?

And don't think it's all uber-expensive couture. Au contraire. Amongst the 'oh my God' Balenciaga and Chanel museum-quality pieces there are £85 Hermes scarves, £175 YSL shoes and 1920s handbags (from £75). We were so bowled over we had to retire to Laduree afterward for a cafe au lait and a macaroon. Our advice? Get there before Daphne Guinness does.
