Madonna’s fashion plans

Madonna has conquered music and films (well, she has starred in some at least), and now we hear that she is to follow in the steps of J-Lo and Beyonce - even though we doubt she is happy following - and conquer fashion too. Yes after designing a small collection for H&M and starring in advertising campaigns for Versace and Louis Vuitton, it is expected that Madge will announce in the next week or two, that she is to collaborate with Ed Hardy brand owner, Christian Audigier, on a new fashion label.

He apparently seduced her with a private catwalk show and a six-figure deal, but she has been a long term fan of the label and jumped at the chance to work together. But don't expect simple, well-cut dresses a la Victoria Beckham, nope, just like the lady herself, Audigier is not known for its subtle style. The Ed Hardy line is famous for tattoo prints and bright colours, and Audigier has designed tour costumes for the not-subtle-at-all wardrobe of Michael Jackson. Can we expect a range of bloomers, fishnets, tracksuits and baseball caps that she has favoured of recent? Possibly, but in the meantime Audigier reveals that they are finalising tattoo-inspired T-shirts and diamante-encrusted bodices. All we need is a successful music career, a million fans, a gym-honed body and a stage, and that bodice is all ours!
