As if a three-day visit by French First Lady (and former supermodel) Carla Bruni-Sarkozy wasn't stressful enough for Sarah Brown, now she's meeting Michelle Obama. A lady whose every fashion move is analysed and who only has to practically look at a new young American designer for their status to soar. We're backing Sarah Brown to respond with her usual diplomacy: championing a British designer and being typically modest. ‘Well, I didn't stand a chance, did I? I mean, I was standing next to a supermodel,' she said at the time of meeting Carla. ‘I thought that whatever I wore didn't matter. With all due respect to myself, I knew that day I couldn't win.' But will she be chic-torious at her ‘Spouses Summit' with Mrs O in Washington today? We'll let you know soon. Because whilst we know they'll be talking politics (and probably what it's like raising young kids whilst in power) we'll be talking fashion. First Lady fashion at that. More soon...
