Which model bagged Prada’s most coveted opening slot?

Getting the opportunity to open and close for Prada is the modelling equivalent of the golden handshake. Take Sasha Pivovarova, whom casting svengali Russell Marsh chose to open the 2005 Autumn/Winter show. She quickly became the face of the brand, as well as winning campaigns for the likes of Giorgio Armani and Tiffany & Co. And the list goes on - Suvi, Adina Foriz, Natalia Chabanenko... their careers all skyrocketed after their Prada appearance.

So who has walked off with the most coveted spot on the catwalk calendar this season? Sashay forward 16-year-old Katlin Aas. A student from Estonia, this is Katlin's first season modelling, and she has already opened for Christopher Kane, and walked for Jaeger London, Giles and Topshop Unique before her career defining moment in Milan. Her agents are understandably excited. Natasha Mensah from Independent Models told us, ‘The interest in her this season is almost unprecedented. So we expect very big things for her.' As do we Natasha. As do we....
