The Miller sisters, aka Savannah and Sienna, continued their march to British fashion fame last night with the debut show for their label Twenty8Twelve, named for Sienna's birth date. Held at 10pm in an old dairy in Bloomsbury, and on Oscar Sunday night too, it was pushing it to expect a starry turnout.
But they delivered: hip NY DJ Leigh Lezark giggled with socialite Lydia Hearst. Matthew Williamson and Roisin Murphy were engrossed in conversation. Alexa Chung scribbled furiously and appeared to give tips to the new actress from Skins, Effy, attending her first fashion show ever. Nicky Clarke and Kelly Hoppen (the sisters' ex step-mum) talked hair with James Brown. And there were bigger stars on the catwalk! Model of the moment Jourdan Dunn was on slinky form.
As for the clothes? Well we already know what Twenty8Twelve is about. It is easy to wear mid-market designer clothes – black frock coats, T-shirts, jeans, knits and sexy dresses – by two very stylish girls and one of them a movie star and fashion icon. What's not to love? The label is going great guns, figures we saw recently suggest the business – which is owned by Pepe – raked in eight million euro's last year. It's easy to see why with a wearable collection inspired by Victorian highway men.

THE SCOOP:
Kelly Hoppen spotted leaving the portaloos – who said fashion shows are glam?!
The stamina of the Brit fash pack – still going strong at 10pm on a Sunday after having no weekend.
Stilettos sinking in the gravel outside.
James Brown ripping up the Smythson invite to stick his chewing gum somewhere!
FIVE LOOKS WE LOVED:
The T-shirt with shoulder pads.

The sweater with sequin external shoulder pads

The leather jackets.

The patchwork minidress that just about covered Karlie Kloss's butt

The finale dress worn by Jourdan Dunn – Swarovski green crystal a gogo and a backless swoop.

Check out how Savannah and Sienna were coping backstage with preparations for their debut show, plus beauty notes on the new braid too!
