NEWSFLASH: London Fashion Week has a new home

The fashion pack might be heading off to the shows today for the start of London Fashion Week, but it's just been confirmed that next season (September 2009) LFW will have a new home. Step forward Somerset House in the heart of Covent Garden. ‘We are pleased to be working in partnership with Somerset House to develop London Fashion Week's profile and offer to designers, utilising the architecturally interesting spaces, to make the venue our new home,' said Harold Tillman, Chairman of the British Fashion Council. During the past 25 years, London Fashion Week has had several homes including the Natural History Museum, Duke of York's, Battersea and Olympia. From a personal perspective though, Somerset House is closer to the Grazia offices, so it'll save our feet from stiletto cramp!
