You, The Fashion Jury: BAFTA 2009

Rain certainly didn't stop play at last year's BAFTA film awards – though Penélope Cruz did need three umbrellas to keep her Alaia gown dry. The stars were out in force on the red carpet, with everything from couture to vintage represented. Check out our 10 best-dressed stars from the BAFTAs and tell us what YOU loved about their outfits. But be fashion-savvy – because the best comments will get printed in Grazia! And in the meantime, if you missed our minute-by-minute coverage LIVE from the red carpet, ceremony and beyond, get a quick recap here. We still want to know who was wearing those Louis Vuitton invisible wedges. And how they managed to walk down the rain-drenched red carpet in them...

Thandie Newton BAFTA

Thandie Newton in Vintage

Nothing like a vintage dress to ensure you stand out from the crowd, the simple shape and gold detailing of Thandie's number are perfect.

Angelina Jolie BAFTA

Angelina Jolie in Armani Prive

Angelina's flash of yellow brings total wow factor to her look...and we love that she's flashing her pins on the red carpet too.

Emma Watson BAFTA

Emma Watson in Temperley

Dressing your age on the red carpet when you're only 18 isn't easy but Emma pulled it off with flair. Loving her low-key jewellery too.

Freida Pinto BAFTA

Freida Pinto in Oscar de la Renta

Girl of the moment Freida is taking red carpet dressing in her stride, this pink tiered number works because the shape is simple, great to see some colourful jewellery too.

Sharon Stone BAFTA

Sharon Stone in Dior

Lady in red, Sharon looks like to the red-carpet pro she is, simplicity is the key.

Kate Winslet BAFTA

Kate Winslet in Zac Posen

Kate's wearing more red carpet gowns than she is jeans these days with all her nominations and we think she's cracked it...this black gown is elegant and super flattering...with just the right amount of ice.

Ellectra Rossilini

Elettra Rossellini in Escada

Colour! Hoorah! We love this electric blue gown brightening up the red carpet...the draped cut is very glam and what a great colour for Elettra's skin tone too?

Marissa Tomei BAFTA

Marisa Tomei in Etro

Decadent embellishment that's what red carpet dressing should be about. Marissa looks so effortless in her jewelled number.

Penelope Cruz BAFTA

Penelope Cruz in Alaia

Penelope's played up her new blunt fringe with a simple elegant black Alaia gown.

Marion Coittard BAFTA

Marion Cotillard in Dior

Marion's cocktail dress is a breath of fresh air for red-carpet dressing and her mannish watch is a very modern touch.

BUT tell us what you love about these BAFTA red carpet looks below? The best comments could end up being printed in Grazia.
