Morning round-up: how Carrie Bradshaw would handle the credit crunch, plus Gwyneth's new book

According to SJP, Carrie Bradshaw ‘would probably end up in hospital' in the current economic climate. Um, haven't you forgotten that she's married to Mr. Big now, Sarah Jessica? What we wouldn't give for that penthouse wardrobe. (And we wouldn't mind those never-been-worn Manolos either...) [People]

Mind you, the financial turmoil doesn't seem to be affecting posh tailoring label Eton of Sweden, who unveiled the world's most expensive shirt at the launch of their first US store. Made from the finest Egyptian cotton, the shirt comes with its own hand-carved presentation box and will be auctioned off at Harrods this spring. That explains the $40,000 price tag then... [FWD]

Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow has just signed a deal to write her very own cookbook. Which means we can all expect to become true macrobiotic converts by the end of next year. Hurrah. [Popsugar]

Looks like it's not all sweet though. In the lead up to this Sunday's BAFTAs, where they are both up for best actress, Kristin Scott Thomas has been overheard complaining about fellow Brit Kate Winslet's success, saying she ‘just didn't get' her as supporting actress 'at all'.
