This week, Fashion Facebookers have gone totally crazeeee. Never seen so many parties, groups and event invitations flying around and people signing up to attend with gusto and lots of excitable exclamation marks!!!! Maybe it's the birthday spirit of Facebook – it's five years old this week – that has given people get up and go. There's House of Jazz's UMBONGO party at Prada's Double Club tonight in London. Everyone and their carton of UMBONGO seems to have RSVP'd: Henry Holland, Hazel Robinson, Katie Hillier, Richard Mortimer, Giles Deacon and all that. And on Sunday there is the BAFTAS. London's most fashionable agent Liz Matthews (rep for Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe among others) is rooting for her client Noel Clarke, who is up for the Orange Rising Star Award, while simultaneously stressing out that she has nothing to wear for said awards and after-parties. Get Daisy to pull a few strings for you at Pringle or DKNY, Liz? Meanwhile, the designers are so busy in preparation for fashion weeks they are not even refreshing their status updates. But others in fashland are gearing up for the fashion month. Huw, the dapper editor of the lovely magazine Wonderland informs us he is ‘waiting for Kanye'. Can you arrange for us to hook up too please, Huw? Meanwhile Katie Hillier, the fabulous accessories designer for Marc by Marc Jacobs, is back with a vengeance on FB, and making friends like a demon with the likes of Agyness Deyn, Brix Smith-Start and handbag designer Corto Moltedo. And last but not least, we're sending out a plea for the beautiful Joanna Mathieson aka Jolene my former intern, who is now working as the assistant to Marc Jacobs' accessory designer in London. Jolene needs some help to spray paint some items in advance of his NY show the week after next. Wait up Jolene... we're coming!
