The Olsen twins launch menswear line

Let's get one thing straight – we love Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Their grunge-rock looks provide us with hours of style-stalking, and then there are their fashion lines: The Row and Elizabeth & James. But every time we mention our infatuation to our other halves their reaction's about as lukewarm as if we'd asked them to accompany us to the premiere of He's Just Not That Into You. But now, with the news that the twins are to launch their first menswear line, the boys can finally get in on the Olsen act. Perhaps that's why the ever-savvy MK and Ashley have spoken of their desire to distance themselves personally from the brand (boys prefer a bit of mystery behind their clothes). ‘We thought it would be a problem for the women, too, knowing that we were behind it, because it's definitely for an older customer than us,' said Ashley Olsen, 22. 'But a lot of customers didn't know it was us, and a lot of them still don't know. That's really interesting, and something I hold close, because I prefer to be behind the scenes and because I really believe the product can speak for itself. And I also have to say, men do want a woman's approval.' Yep – and we're definitely giving our approval to the collection that's made with the same luxe fabric as The Row and draws inspiration from Cary Grant, Brad Pitt and all the other men the twins find attractive. So what's next after couple-itis? ‘I'd love to get into china,' says Ashley. ‘But leather goods will probably be the next step.' Well, when you're worth millions, we guess the economy ain't affecting you...
