First look: Grazia at Jean Paul Gaultier

Although many eyes were on Kylie as she paid a visit to Jean Paul Gaultier's couture show yesterday, the sharp lines and softly sculptured shapes of the collection were truly inspired. Here are the five things we loved at JPG...

1) The lace, prints and embroideries that looked like they had been inspired by 1970s string art kits.

default

2) The ‘don't mess with me' shoulders (a strong recurring theme at all the couture shows).

default

3) The seamed stockings.

default

4) Inès de la Fressange working the runway looking as fantastic as all the 20-something models even though she is 30 years older than most of them.

default

5) All the variations on the tuxedo. In JPG's collections, the spirit of YSL's sexy and sophisticated ‘Le Smoking' lives on. Best of all was the one-shouldered full-length tuxedo dress worn by Inès.
