Anthropologie comes to London!

Finally! It's just been confirmed that one of our favourite Stateside stores is launching in London at the end of this year. Following in the footsteps of Banana Republic, Anthropologie is the next US outfitters to set up shop in Regent Street – a mere stroll from its sister store Urban Outfitters in Oxford Circus. If you're not already familiar with it, Anthropologie is the fashion go-to place in the US for romantic cotton blouses, shabby-chic homewares and irresistible handmade notebooks (think Urban Outfitters grown up), not to mention their amazing art-installation window displays. As if that's not exciting enough, a second store store will open in the old Antiquarius building in the King's Road in early 2010. Talk about good timing. If our paltry pounds won't stretch to a long weekend in New York it's only fair that the American stores should come to us, no?
